Following reasonable instructions and feeling comfortable
To provide proper treatment, you will need to follow reasonable instructions to ensure we can continue effectively and safely. Physiotherapy requires you to wear comfortable clothing that is easy to move in. If you need to expose an area such as neck shoulders, I will have discussed wearing a vest top. A low back area may need shorts, sportswear. I often need to see you standing barefoot. If you feel uncomfortable doing this, please speak freely and we can discuss options.
Cooperation and doing your bit
We need information about your health, medical and surgical history, medication, activity levels etc to fully assess your condition and then mange it safely and effectively.
To move better and be better there will be lots of advice to follow between sessions. Exercises and stretches may be sent via video. Poor compliance will slow your recovery down. Ignoring advice will slow down your recovery or allow for deterioration.
If you are at all unsure about what to do or if you are doing things correctly contact Lindsey Anderson before continuing.
